The Board of Equalization administers California’s property tax system. Property taxes fund schools, community services, local amenities such as parks, beaches and emergency services.

Fire Relief

I was excited to attend the Laguna Beach Democratic Club meeting last night finally in person. Unfortunately, an unexpected fire in Laguna Niguel made the trip on PCH a little more precarious. I didn’t want to get in the way of Firefighters so I chose to attend via Zoom. I truly appreciate the graciousness of the Laguna Beach Democratic Club and their commitment to democratic values.

For those who have lost property value due to fires or other disasters property tax relief is available. When things settle down, please contact the Orange County Assessor to file for relief. If you have any questions about the programs feel free to contact me. I am always happy to help.
