- Betty was the first woman to produce a sitcom, “Life with Elizabeth” in 1953.
- In 1954 on her nationally televised “The Betty White Show,” she defied the producers racist demands to get rid of a dancer on her show because he was black.
- She was a supporter and advocate of LGBT rights.
- Her passion was animal welfare. Betty was an avid animal activist. She worked with the Los Angeles Zoo, The Morris Animal Foundation, African Wildlife Foundation, and Actors and Others for Animals.
Betty’s good works are an inspiration. In this new year we all should strive to serve others to make 2022 a better year for all.
