David runs the Board of Equalization’s Southern California office.

The Board of Equalization administers California’s property tax system. Property taxes fund schools, community services, local amenities such as parks, beaches and emergency services.

My Top Priorities

Support Owner-Occupied Home Ownership

The family home is one of the few avenues for working and middle class families to build wealth.

Protecting the Rights of Taxpayers

Closing loopholes and providing transparency and access to build public trust and cooperation.

Supporting the Department & the Assessors…

in their constitutional duty to fairly administer California’s property tax system.

UCSD College Democrats

I truly enjoyed meeting with the University of California San Diego College Democrats on November 30th.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I enjoy being back on college campuses. UCSD has grown a great deal since the last time I was there. The students are enthusiastic and I applaud their appetite for seeking truthful information to navigate the political field. As a union member and supporter I enjoyed the presentation about labor and politics. I am excited for the future of these involved students.
