I enjoyed meeting with the Laguna Beach Democratic Club on Wednesday and hearing from Judge Lynne Riddle about the political challenges to public education. As a parent and former PTA officer in the Capistrano School District I am well aware of the damage that can be done by the politicization of school boards. We all need to work together to depoliticize public education and public office whether it be at the Board of Education or the Board of Equalization.
